We’re excited to welcome Blair, Shelley, Kathleen and Mitch into the AA Munro family as our new team of brokers in Chester.

Earlier this summer, B.W. Armstrong Insurance joined AA Munro. They’ve got a lot of experience, with strong roots on the South Shore and unique career journeys.

Blair Armstrong has 45 years in the industry. With an impressive network of clients and community members, he likes helping people.

Shelley Benson’s experience goes back 25 years, with a focus in claims for 18 of them—giving her a well-rounded view of insurance from start to finish.

Kathleen Hamm is soon entering her 30th year in insurance, and can’t wait to see what it’ll bring. She loves exploring the province by Jeep, kayak, and hiking, so she knows the intricacies of Nova Scotian insurance. She’s also got quite the voice, making music with her husband on guitar. “I really appreciate AA Munro’s culture so far,” Kathleen said. “Having a strong support team help guide us through learning new-to-us procedures has made the changes a breeze.”

Mitch Kitching grew up in Blandford, and travelled around a bit before finding his way back home and finding his place in the industry. He’s excited to serve a community he’s known his whole life, and he’s got a knack for magic tricks. “The transition has been a lot of work, and will take a lot of getting used to,” he said. “But it’s already making our lives better.

Once everything was well underway, we were able to celebrate. In August, we held a formal welcome event on the South Shore with Harley, Aneill and some other local AA Munro brokers.

“Everyone we met so far seems absolutely crazy, but in the best way. I think we’ll fit in nicely!” Mitch said. Thanks to the team’s hard work, we’re now open and ready to serve the Chester community as we continue our growth across the Maritimes.
