Earlier this year, we teamed up with Intact Insurance for a $2,000 donation to a local charity. We asked our brokers for causes near and dear to them that need a bit of extra support, and Donna Frison-Leblanc suggested Tri-County Women’s Centre & SHYFT House.

“The work they do for the community is amazing,” Donna said. “The Women’s Centre offers resources for women, and SHYFT provides safe housing for at-risk youth.”

COVID restrictions and shifting household dynamics over the past 2 years have increased the need for family outreach programs, and the team at TCWC has worked hard to meet the needs of the communities they serve.

They run centres in Yarmouth, Digby and Shelburne; they also just opened two new women’s clinics. Donations help expand the TCWC’s reach, allowing them to help more families across the province.

Donna has worked with the charity in the past, and was thrilled to deliver the news. Jeremy from our Digby office joined her. “I can’t think of a more worthwhile cause,” Donna said. “It truly makes a difference.”
