AA Munro Insurance is now open in Charlottetown, and at the helm is broker David Ghiz. He’s got 17 years’ experience in the industry and is excited to be joining our team. Over the last few months, he’s been settling into Island life and getting out in the community.

One thing PEI is renowned for is its golf courses. Last month, David spent a day at The Mackenzie Tour’s Prince Edward Island Open. Our new office sponsored the Charity Pro-Am Challenge, and he and Greg Hull were paired up with professional golfer Andrew Harrison (who ended up placing third overall).

“It was a truly awesome event. Our team really came together and had a blast,” David said. “Greg had the shot of the day on the 18th, sinking a 3-iron shot from 170 yards out to make a 2 on the par 5. What a feat!”

For David, it was a great community experience too. The tournament took place at Dundarave Golf Course in Cardigan, and seeing new neighbours and friends come out and support made it all the more special.

“Every second or third hole had a local business set up showing their support, which shows the tight-knit culture we have here,” David said. “And after a long few months of lockdown, moving and quarantining, it was really nice to get out there and put a face to the new name in PEI insurance.”

David’s got Islander roots, and he’s thrilled to be back home for this next phase of his insurance career. If the PEI Open is any indication, it’ll be ace.
