2015 Nova Scotia Mi’kmaw Summer Games
The Games are a chance for Mi’kmaw competitors young and old to come together and test their mettle. Events are held in sports like baseball, basketball, archery, golf and tug of war. There is also a princess pageant and musical entertainment.
Harley’s New Truck
Harley has a new truck. It’s a Ram 1500 EcoDiesel Tradesman with a full 8 foot bed—a classic work truck that’s friendly on gas. Everyone knows that Harley puts in a lot of miles behind the wheel visiting our offices around the province.
Green Takes the Gold in Lochaber
Emily “Pig” Piggott is known for her quick starts. Wayne “The Hulk” Ezekiel, for his enthusiasm and determination. At the AAM Financial Golden Oar Challenge, Emily and Wayne raced together as “Tidal Wayne”.
A Brand New User
Richard Fulton set up shop in Baddeck. In addition to a new career and a new town, Richard is also excited about having access to the great outdoors on the Island. He’s been enjoying the mountain biking trails and the water.
Canada Day Literary Celebration
Over 100 people cozied up at the Coady Tompkins Memorial Library in Margaree Forks for the 6th Annual Margaree Canada Day Literary Celebration. One of the organizers opened the doors for air. A highland breeze circulated through the crowd as Dawn Beaton began the event with a slow fiddle march.
